In the wake of Trey Edward Shults’ debut feature Krishna nabbing awards and rave reviews at SXSW 2015, distribution company A24 not only acquired the film but also brought the director on board to helm a thriller titled It Comes at Night, which is now getting off the ground. Today brings casting news, so read on!
Deadline reports that Joel Edgerton (The Gift) is in talks to star in It Comes at Night, which A24 will produce and distribute domestically. In the film, which was penned by Shults, Edgerton will play a father who will stop at nothing to protect his wife and son from a malevolent, mysterious presence terrorizing them right outside their doorstep.
David Kaplan is also on board to produce.
