More Saw and a Haunting
Lionsgate has come out with two announcements, one somewhat surprising and one completely not.
The former is that they’ve picked up the heavily hyped but underwhelming An American Haunting for DVD release on October 24th. Supposedly a retelling of the “true” story of the Bell Witch haunting, An American Haunting will come in both rated and unrated cuts with deleted scenes, a making-of documentary, an interview with the director and Sissy Spacek, a blooper reel, and more.
On the unsurprising side of things, Lionsgate has also officially announced Saw II: 2-Disc Uncut Edition for release on the same day. Along with being Darren Lynn Bousman’s preferred cut of the film, the set will feature commentary with Leigh Whannell and James Wan; another with Bousman, production designer David Hackl, and editor Kevin Greutert; a bunch of making-of featurettes; a tribute to the late, great Greg Hoffman; Bousman’s short film “Zombies”; and a lot more.
