Michael Gingold Leaves Fangoria
Growing up in the horror genre, there were few figures as prominent on the journalistic side of the fence as Tony Timpone and Michael Gingold. Though Timpone sought out other endeavors a while back, Gingold was always a fixture and to many, like myself, was synonymous with all things Fangoria, and Fango was synonymous with all things horror.
We usually don’t take the time to report on the inside business end of things, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t give Michael his due. After 25 years, Gingold has left the company whose bloody pages littered almost every fan’s bookshelf at one time or another.
This shit? It’s in our blood. It can never be shaken or fully put to the side. Whether he returns to the genre or not, that’s up to him… and knowing Michael, he’ll have something new cooking sooner rather than later. We just wanted to take this moment to say, “Here’s to ya, brother! And thank you for all you’ve done for fans and more!”
Now hurry up and find a new place to haunt! Things wouldn’t be the same without ya! Much love, amigo, and again… sincerely… thank you!
