Who Needs a Clash of the Titans When You Can Have a War of Gods?
One more casting addition has been made to Relativity Media’s answer to Clash of the Titans, entitled War of Gods. Someone who has a whole lot of experience fighting beasties both mythical and otherwise!
According to Variety Stephen Dorff has joined the cast of the Greek mythology-based monster battle flick, which is set to begin shooting in early April in Montreal.
Dorff will be accompanied by the already announced Kellan Lutz, Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, and Freida Pinto. Visionary director Tarsem Singh will be at the helm of this big budget creature feature, and if you’re at all familiar with his work, there’s one thing you already know — the movie is going to look really good. Dorff will portray Stavros, a master thief who joins Theseus on his quest to help free Greece from the dark threat of the Titans.
Distributed by Universal, War of Gods will be produced by 300 partners Gianni Nunnari of Hollywood Gang Prods., Mark Canton of Atmosphere Entertainment MM, and Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of Relativity Media. Christian Gudegast rewrote from an original draft by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides.
Look for the film in theatres on November 11th, 2011.
