Spoiler Alert: Synopses of Containment, Supernatural, and The Originals (Season Finale) for the Week of May 16

The horror shows on The CW are airing their season finales over the coming days, and up during the week of May 16th is “The Originals” Episode 3.22, “The Bloody Crown,” in which the prophecy is fulfilled.  Who will live, and who will die?  Tune in on May 20th to find out!

Meanwhile, things are really heating up on “Containment,” and “Supernatural” approaches the “final countdown”… that can’t be good!

“Containment” Episode 1.05 – “Like a Sheep Among Wolves” (5/17/16; 9:00-10:00 pm)
ROWING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION — Tensions between Lex (David Gyasi) and Dr. Lommers (Claudia Black) reach a boiling point after they disagree over how to execute a much-needed food drop inside the cordon.  With limited resources on his side, Jake’s (Chris Wood) attempt to control a desperate and hungry crowd leaves him rattled after a group of thugs show up and a stand-off ensues.  Meanwhile, when the timeline of events leading up to the outbreak doesn’t add up, Katie (Kristen Gutoskie) sets out in search of the truth.  Christina Moses and George Young also star.  Janice Cookie directed the episode written by Jeff Stetson.

“Supernatural” Episode 11.22 – “We Happy Few” (5/18/16; 9:00-10:00 pm)
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) face their biggest challenge yet.  Rowena (Ruth Connell) makes her move.  John Badham directed the episode written by Robert Berens.

“The Originals” Season Finale Episode 3.22 – “The Bloody Crown” (5/20/16; 9:00-10:00 pm)
THE PROPHECY FULFILLED After months of thwarting off dangerous threats and deadly attacks, the Mikaelson siblings finally come face to face with the one person that could lead to their ultimate demise.  With the stakes higher than ever and the compound overrun by an army of his oldest sworn enemies, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is put on trial for centuries of atrocities he’s committed.  Meanwhile, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who has been spiraling out of control following an act of betrayal by those closest to him, is stunned by the unexpected arrival of someone from his past.  Finally, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Freya (Riley Voelkel), and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) frantically search for a way to save their family before it’s too late.  Phoebe Tonkin also stars.  Matt Hastings directed the episode written by Beau DeMayo & Diane Ademu-John.
