Friday the 13th Part 3is destined to be remembered as the film where Jason donned his iconic hockey mask, so it’s fitting that the Higgins Haven location from the movie will be featured in the upcoming game. It was revealed in a new segment of gameplay footage at PAX, which has Jason slamming a door so hard into someone’s face that their head literally pops.

Another piece of footage was also revealed, which showcased how players will be able to use stealth to hide from Jason, although it probably won’t do much good, as he will have the ability to sense fear in the game.

A few other interesting tidbits were also dropped by developer Gun Media, including the fact that each map will contain random elements to help gameplay avoid becoming repetitive, that each match will last for around 15-20 minutes, that it’s not set in any particular time period from the franchise, and that Jason will become more and more powerful as the game progresses, eventually becoming an unstoppable killing machine. Well, more of one than he already was.

This is by far one of our most anticipated games here at Dread Central, and the footage and news at PAX only made us all the more desperate to play the damn thing when it hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
