When they work together, the power of geeks knows no bounds. The official Dark Souls board game took only three minutes to reach its £50,000 goal on Kickstarter. Three. Minutes. Not three weeks, not three days. Three minutes.

At the time of writing, the amount of money raised is £625,992, more than twelve times the original goal. Geeks are a force to be reckoned with.

The game can be played by up to four people at a time and will attempt to replicate the experience of the video games as closely as possible, albeit in board game form. Usually I’d encourage you to contribute some money yourself, but in this case they clearly don’t need it as the speed at which the money is flowing their way is just crazy! By the looks of it, their final two stretch goals will be reached later today.
