Per Deadline, both Nicole Beharie (“Sleepy Hollow”) and Jesse Williams (The Cabin in the Woods) have been set to star opposite Ealy. Specific character details are unknown at this time, but the site notes that Williams has a major role in the remake.
Scripted by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorp, the new version will be a “modern-day paranoid action thriller about two brothers.”
Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, and Jennifer Monroe at LD Entertainment will produce alongside Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta of Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films (Fright Night). Will Packer will produce via his Will Packer Productions banner, and WPP’s James F. Lopez will be executive producer.
Principal photography is set to begin in mid May.
