True Blood Season Three doesn’t begin airing on HBO until June, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t have a few treats to tide them over, one of which is a comic biography of author Charlaine Harris in Bluewater Productions’ “Female Force” series.

But before we discuss that, we have to share the following tease from @TrueBloodHBO on Twitter:

The new season starts in June but we’ll have some surprises when the re-airs of S2 begin on 3/21.

“Surprises”, eh? Good thing we only have three weeks to wait before finding out what they mean! Here are a couple of new promo videos from vamps Eric and Bill to help pass the time:

Now back to Ms. Harris. According to MTV “Female Force: Charlaine Harris”, hitting shelves in May, promises to explore the author’s career “from the publication of the lighthearted Aurora Teargarden mysteries to the phenomenon of her vampire-infused Sookie Stackhouse stories.” And unlike previous “Female Force” books, Bluewater reports that Harris took an active role in the development of the comic, discussing her career with the comic’s writer, Kim Sherman (who also authored the publisher’s “Fame: Robert Pattinson” bio).

For Bluewater president Darren G. Davis, the Harris biography provides another chance to introduce new readers to the world of comic books. “With our Female Force, Fame, and Political Power biography comics, we’ve introduced countless new readers to the joy of sequential storytelling,” Davis said. “Charlaine Harris is an inspiration to young writers everywhere. Harris never quit on her dreams to become a published writer. And she kept writing until she reached the explosive success that her Sookie Stackhouse books now enjoy. I’m thrilled to present this talented writer’s story to the fans who only know Stackhouse from True Blood.
