Despite the fact that “Grimm” has long been a fan favorite, recently airing its 100th episode, its fate following the currently airing fifth season has been in doubt: Would NBC renew the show or give it the ax?  Well, that question has been answered…

The series will be returning for Season 6!

While making the announcement, NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said, “We absolutely love what our producers and cast have accomplished over the past five seasons. They have created a whole new world of creatures and have a truly devoted fan base. We can’t wait to see what comes next.”

What comes this Friday is Episode 5.16, “The Believer,” in which William Mapother guest stars.  Check out its preview, a few images, and the synopsis.

“Grimm” Episode 5.16 – “The Believer” (4/8/16)
THE FAITHFUL ARE TARGETS AS A MINISTER USES HIS UNIQUE ABILITY TO INCREASE HIS FLOCK – An evangelical preacher (guest star William Mapother) has a tent revival unlike any other when he uses his Wesen identity to gain more believers. Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) are called to the scene as things escalate when a group of “true believers” are hellbent on saving the preacher and his flock by any means necessary.

Meanwhile, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) takes further steps to gain power in local government. Elsewhere, Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) uses Adalind’s (Claire Coffee) ol’ hat trick to gain more access to Black Claw. Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee, and Bree Turner also star.
