Goodnight Mommy Filmmakers Enter The Fortress

Widely considered to be one of last year’s best horror films, Goodnight Mommy marked the narrative debut of filmmakers Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, and we’re happy to report today that the duo is once again heading into horror territory with their next feature. Read on for all the details!
Per THR, Universal is in final negotiations to pick The Fortress, a horror pitch that Franz and Fiala will both write and direct. Michael De Luca, who has a first-look deal with the studio, is attached to produce.
Fortress details are being kept locked but the story centers on a group of refugees hidden aboard a container ship who discover their passage to safety is not what it seems.
De Luca Productions’ Lucy Kitada will executive produce.
