New Ghostbusters Image Doesn’t Cross the Streams

Whether you want it or not – and we totally do, for the record – Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters is headed our way this summer, and you can expect that the next few months will be filled with all sorts of related goodies. Speaking of which, a new image has blasted its way onto the net today, and we’re serving it up.
The exclusive image comes our way courtesy of Empire!
“I wanted my ladies to be badass,” Paul Feig told the site in regards to the image, which sees the quartet busting ghosts at a rock concert. “I wanted them to get in over their heads and fight ghosts. I like the idea of them having to enter a giant setting and take on ghosts.”
Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones are our new paranormal investigators along with their loyal secretary Chris Hemsworth. Neil Casey, Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, Pat Kiernan, Cecily Strong, and Charles Dance also star. Cameos will include the original film’s stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts. Plus Ozzy Osbourne.
The Ghostbusters reboot will haunt the big screen on July 15, 2016.
Synopsis:
Dead criminals from all eras of New York’s underbelly past have returned to roost among the living. Pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters are ready to take on four formidable female busters looking to rid the city of its phantasmic filth.
