Spoiler Alert: Synopses of iZombie, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries for the Week of April 4th

Something major must be happening on the April Fools’ Day episode of “The Originals” because when The CW released the synopses for its shows during the week of April 4th, that series was conspicuously left out.  We do, however, know the name of “TO” Episode 3.17, which is “Behind the Black Horizon.” Expect more details shortly.

In the meantime, here’s a rundown of that week’s synopses for “iZombie,” “Supernatural,” and “The Vampire Diaries,” the latter of which is of special note since it sees exec producer Julie Plec return to the director’s seat.

“iZombie” Episode 2.17 – “Reflections of the Way Liv Used to Be” (4/5/16; 9:00-10:00 pm)
LITTLE MISS TYPE A — Liv (Rose McIver) and Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) are investigating the murder of Bailey Barker (guest star Haley Marie Norman, “Fired Up”), a Type A ambitious, hyper-competitive, and driven student near the top of her class. After consuming Bailey’s brain, Liv becomes very much like the girl she was before becoming a zombie. Meanwhile, things seem to be going from bad to worse for Major (Robert Buckley, and Blaine (David Anders) reaches out to Ravi (Rahul Kohli) for help. Michael Fields directed the episode written by Bob Dearden.

“The Vampire Diaries” Episode 7.17 – I Went to the Woods” (4/8/16; 8:00-9:00 pm)
STEFAN FINDS HIMSELF IN THE FIGHT OF HIS LIFE — In the aftermath of his brother’s fateful decision, Stefan (Paul Wesley) awakens to find himself thrown into a life or death situation with only his basic instincts to rely on. With time working against him, he sets off on a journey of survival while forced to confront a lifetime of irreversible damage Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has done to their relationship. Meanwhile, desperate to save his brother, Damon follows an unusual lead he has come across, while Matt (Zach Roerig) sends Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) to Dallas to enlist Alaric’s (Matt Davis) help in the search for Stefan. Finally, when Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) discovers the emergence of a new threat, she sets off on her own mission to find Stefan before the others do. Julie Plec directed the episode with teleplay by Neil Reynolds and story by Julie Plec & Neil Reynolds.
