Ghostbusters Animated Film Vacuums Up A Director

After the internet basically exploded with criticism over the trailer for this year’s Ghostbusters reboot, it appears that even Sony have lost faith and are trying to explore other options for the franchise. They’ve been working on an animated Ghostbusters film, presumably so that they use it as a means to continue the series should the reboot flop.
The project’s just come one step closer to reality as The Hollywood Reporter has learned that director Fletcher Moules has come onboard. Who’s that, you ask? He’s the guy who directed a bunch of Clash of Clans commercials. That greedy little microtransaction filled mobile game. Let’s just hope that his Ghostbusters film doesn’t end up being such an obvious cash grab.
Ivan Reitman, the writer and director of the original films in the franchise, is onboard as producer, but we currently don’t have any solid plot details. But with a director now attached, it probably won’t take long for other details to start coming to light.
