DVD and Blu-ray Releases: March 8, 2016

default-featured-image

There are a total of thirty releases this week, folks. Soak them in now because next week only has about 6 releases. Some of this week’s titles are listed in a different section at the bottom titled “Movie Cash.” They’re titles that have already been out on some digital format or another but are being re-released with Movie Cash and/or an ultraviolet version of the movie. It’s basically another way to get your money. For example, this week has a Blu-ray for Dracula Untold, which also has another 2 similar releases coming out (1 DVD and 1 Blu-ray) on March 29th.

There are some Puppet Master releases to discuss as well. It looks as though Puppet Master 5 as well as Curse Of The Puppet Master have actual releases scheduled for this week, while Puppet Master 4 and Retro Puppet Master look iffy. In any case, I listed all of the information I had for the ones with scheduled releases. If you don’t already own them, there may be new versions coming out that you can run out and pick up.

Species II is coming to Blu-ray this week too. If you scroll further down to our Collections section, you’ll see the Blu-ray for Species III/Species: The Awakening so you can pick up all of the sequels in one trip. You can also pick up the I Spit On Your Grave 3 Pack, which has the remake s well as both of its sequels.

There’s also a movie called Dickshark dropping this week. The description sounds interesting, but the DVD cover art is what really kills me. Check it out below.

Lastly, this week also brings us the Blu-ray and DVD releases of Victor Frankenstein, with Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy.  My wife is especially happy about James McAvoy part.  Go figure.

As always, pleasant viewing, friends.

Nearly 40 years later, a group of dedicated followers still await their arrival. At the Unarius Academy of Science death does not exist, Nicola Tesla was a Space Brother, Satan drove a Cadillac and science fiction is real. To relive their pasts the students film their own sci-fi extravaganzas with the increasingly extravagant Ruth Norman as the star and the lines between fantasy and reality dissolve. Using spectacular footage from original Unarius films and Hollywood Sci-Fi flicks to illustrate, comment upon, and subvert interviews with the remaining Unarius students, Children of the Stars covers millions of years, hundreds of galaxies and dozens of B movies to present a sympathetic look at faith and how people justify it in different ways.
