Who doesn’t love a good killer robot flick, eh? And despite being made on a tight budget, the trailer for the upcoming British sci-fi/horror flick Kill Command, in which a bunch of trainee soldiers are pitted against machines of doom, looks like a top-notch Hollywood production. We would expect nothing less from Vertigo Films, the studio that bough us Gareth Edward’s Monsters and its sequel.

It’s got some high profile talent on board in the form of director Steve Gomez, who won a VFX Emmy for his work on Inside the Living Body, and stars David Ajala, known for films like The Dark Knight, Fast & Furious 6, and Jupiter Ascending; Angels and Demons actor Thure Lindhardt, and About Time star Vanessa Kirby. It opens in UK cinemas on May 13th.

Synopsis:
In a near future technology-reliant society, man is pitted against killing machines.

An elite army unit is helicoptered to a remote, off-the-grid island facility. What starts out as a simple training exercise for Captain Bukes and his tight-knit squad descends into a terrifying battle to the death, as the Marines discover the island is overrun by an enemy that transcends the human concept of evil.
