When the folks at Cinema Epoch asked us if we wanted to debut a “gory and disturbing” new clip from their upcoming twisted thriller Sociopathia, of course we said yes.  We know our audience, after all, so this one’s for you guys!  Just don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Sociopathia Release Details:
Following a limited theatrical run and a “Best Director” nomination from the 2015 Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival for co-directors Ruby Larocca and Rich Mallery, SOCIOPATHIA, a twisted cross between Maniac and American Mary, arrives on DVD, VOD, and Digital on February 9, courtesy of genre specialists Cinema Epoch.

Introverted and peculiar, Mara (Tammy Jean) spends her days fabricating props for movies. But her reclusive persona conceals an internal wrath. Terrified of being alone, Mara refuses to let her victims leave, sadistically murdering them and keeping their corpses as living dolls. When she’s hired by Kat (Asta Paredes), a fledgling producer, the two instantly hit it off. As their relationship grows more intense, Mara begins to lose her already fragile grip on reality. When her “dolls” begin demanding all of her attention and Kat threatens to break her heart, Mara spirals into psychosis, leaving her no choice but to kill again.

In addition to Jean and Paredes, the SOCIOPATHIA cast includes Nicola Fiore (who also appeared opposite Larocca in Slaughter Daughter), Nicolette Le Faye (President’s Day, Call Girl of the Cthulu), Tabetha Ray (Bullets for Jesus, Caveat), Morris County director Matthew Garrett, and Beneath the Underground founder Nick DeCarlo. Call Girl’s Jason M. Koch and Kaleigh Brown added the blood-splashed makeup FX.

Special Features:

  • Complete B&W version of SOCIOPATHIA
  • Seven (7) deleted scenes, including one with George Stover, a cult actor best known for his work in John Waters films such as Female Trouble, Desperate Living, Hairspray, and Polyester
