If a film titled Dudes & Dragons doesn’t immediately make you want to kiss the ground and thank God for being alive, then you live in a world where the stars don’t shine.
Yes, Dudes & Dragons really does exist, and by the looks of it, it’s the film that Knights of Badassdom wishes it was. And ironically, it will probably end up being a lot better than the real Dungeons & Dragons movies.
With a cast including James Marsters, Kaitlin Doubleday, Luke Perry, and Adam Johnson, the plot follows the evil Lord Tensley, who unleashes a dragon which ravages the land after Lady Ennogard rejects his hand in marriage. Because that’s what you do when a lady says no.
Anyway, it’s arriving on March 1 on DVD (Amazon) and VOD, and I guess it should give all the hardcore Dungeons & Dragons nerds a reason to crawl out of their mom’s basement for a few hours (sorry).
When the powerful wizard Lord Tensley is jilted by Princess Ennogard, he vows to rid the land of love. He commands his fire-breathing dragon to destroy any sign of affection seen throughout the kingdom. As the death toll rises, Camilan, a brave but arrogant warrior, seeks to marry his true love despite the curse upon the land. In order to fulfill his destiny, he seeks the help of his estranged brother, Ramicus, a bounty hunter with no desire to get involved. It takes an enchanted distress message and the promise of great reward from the beautiful Princess Ennogard to lure Ramicus into the quest to defeat the wizard and his terrible beast.
