Brett Kelly Channels 80s Creature Features with Ghastlies

Director Brett Kelly obviously has a thing for 80s creature features like Gremlins, Critters, and, to a lesser extent, Ghoulies. Hell, I’d toss Jeffrey Mandel’s 1989 horror flick Elves into that batch simply because I love it so. Kelly and company have been busy as of late putting together their flick Ghastlies, an homage to the kind of films I still find myself watching well into middle age.
If Kelly’s name sounds remotely familiar, then you may recall his previous foray into ’80s fare: 2014’s campy Homicycle. He’s also responsible for the Bonesetter films and generously gave the world both Attack of the Jurassic Shark and Attack of the Giant Leeches, among many others.
Plot details are few and far between at the moment, but, honestly, the movie is called Ghastlies and it involves miniature blood-thirsty creatures. If you’re looking for a story, then I honestly don’t know what else to say. However, check out the movie’s official Facebook page, as they may post more info about the plot in the near future.
