The Grim Reaper Fights Zombies in Upcoming Game Deadbolt

The Grim Reaper vs. zombies is quite simply the most awesome premise ever. If you disagree, then get the hell off Dread Central and go watch some Disney shit.

The new indie game Deadbolt, from the makers of the very well-received Risk of Rain, has that exact premise, with the Reaper deciding that he’s had enough of the dead deciding not to stay dead. Instead of a scythe, he’ll be packing heat, with machine guns at your disposal, as shown in the very gruesome trailer below. Oh, as if the coolness factor couldn’t get any higher, there’ll also be vampires to deal with.

I still think that the Grim Reaper is criminally underused in fiction, so it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to see Death himself getting some video game love.

Deadbolt will be bringing death to Steam in Q1 2016.
