We’ve all been there, lounging by the poolside on an absolutely gorgeous day while trying to snap that perfect selfie for our 16 Instagram followers. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, our gorgeous friends in their tight swimwear are brutally assaulted by a swarm of flying insects. It doesn’t take long for lean, fit bodies to ooze blood and the shrieks of female victims to fill the crisp afternoon air.
This is essentially the setup for writer/director Ryan McCoy’s forthcoming horror flick Bugs, a movie that asks the question, “What would a group of attractive girls do if their idle days were suddenly disrupted by tons of bloodthirsty insects?” The trailer for the flick should give you an idea of what to expect from the finished product, which I’m guessing will arrive sometime later this year. That’s a wild estimation on my part, so please don’t hold me (or RynoRyder Productions) to it.
