Zombie Fans Rejoice! Undead Labs Working on the Ultimate Living Dead Laden MMO
If you’re like me, you don’t understand the appeal of MMO’s like World of Warcraft. I don’t want to enchant items or do fairy dances. I want to kill zombies. I want to paint the screen red with gore. I want to dance in their infected entrails. I want to …. wait, getting carried away. Ahem. Ok, a new company called Undead Labs may have just the game people like us have been waiting to sink our teeth into.
Industry veteran Jeff Strain today announced the formation of his newest company, Undead Labs, whose sole focus will be to create the definitive massively multi-player online zombie game (MMOZ) for console gamers.
“Every time I see a good zombie movie with friends, we spend days debating our strategies for surviving the zombie apocalypse,” said Strain. “The police station or the supermarket? Garden rake or staple gun? Bach or the White Stripes? I’m a game developer, so I’d probably be useless for anything other than ghoul bait, but I’m excited to have the opportunity to build an MMOZ that lets us put those strategies to the test and find out for sure.”
