Vampires Go to Prison in Nightfall
In an unprecedented move, a production company is getting set to turn a graphic novel (the term given to comic books when people want them to sound more adult, kind of like calling lotion “age-defying ointment”) into a movie! Crazy bastards! That approach to finding new content will never work!
According to Variety Aurora Prods. and Platinum Studios are teaming on a feature version of Platinum’s graphic novel Nightfall, which centers on a man who finds out just how bad life can get when he discovers that the prison he just entered is controlled by vampires.
The original property, penned by Scott O. Brown and illustrated by Ferran Xalabarder, was published in 2007 by Platinum. Aurora topper William Stuart will produce with Platinum Studios’ chairman and CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. Former Universal Pictures exec Randy Greenberg will exec produce.
Vamps in prison? As if we needed any more incentive to not drop the soap. Something tells me these bloodsuckers won’t be sparkling in the prison yard while lifting weights and playing cards. More soon.
