Death. It happens to all of us. We can either wait in fear for our inevitable demise or try to enjoy our time on earth before it runs out. But although it may be something that all of us dread deep down inside, you can’t deny how interesting the way that certain people interpret death can be because of the impact that it can have on their work.

The new documentary The Life of Death, which was just released by Wild Eye Releasing on Amazon, explores how various horror personalities, including Caroline Munro, Debbie Rochon, Jack Ketchum, and Troma legend Lloyd Kaufman, use their own personal views on death as a key element in their creations. It also touches on how they personally want to kick the bucket, which should make for some interesting conversations.

I couldn’t find a trailer for the doc, but hell, Kaufman has such a huge personality and onscreen persona that just knowing he’s in it should be enough.

Synopsis:
This documentary explores how death is perceived by a group horror professionals and its influence on their work. Includes interviews and insights from Troma head honcho Lloyd Kaufman, artist Bob Fingerman, Jack Ketchum, special effects artist Tom Sullivan (EVIL DEAD), and Scream Queens Debbie Rochon and Caroline Munro (DR. PHIBES, MANIAC), along with a host of many other others.
