Twilight Saga: New Moon Score Details; Showtime Sets Date for Twilight Premiere
The official soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been out for a while now, but that’s not the only avenue by which fans of the series can listen to the music from the latest installment. There’s also the score by Alexandre Desplat, and today the track listing was revealed.
Examiner provided the following breakdown, which also gives a hint of how events will be going down in New Moon:

The highly regarded Desplat is the winner of numerous awards including 2008’s “Film Score of the Year” & “Best Original Score for a Drama Film” by the International Film Critics Association (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), winner of the 2007 Golden Globe for “Best Original Score” (The Painted Veil), and two-time Academy Award Nominee (The Queen & The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). With regard to the score, he said, “Chris Weitz and ‘New Moon’ provided me with a rich canvas to create the colors of desire, longing, heartbreak, and eternal love.”

In addition, lest anyone think the big daddy that started it all, Twilight, is being forgotten, Showtime has announced that it will be giving the film its television premiere on Saturday, January 23, 2010. As HitFix mentioned, is there anybody who cares about Twilight who hasn’t seen it already … at least a few times? Even so, something tells us January 23rd is likely to be Showtime’s highest rated night in a very, very long time.
