You may remember that a little while ago we bought you an interview with Conrad Faraj, the director of the upcoming alien invasion movie Fighting the Sky, which is now in post-production. Although the film does not yet have a release date, we are proud to present both an exclusive behind-the-scenes video and some exclusive images.
Fighting the Sky follows a group of ufologists who discover that their theories about alien invasion may just be all too real. Faraj, who hopes that his film will invoke his love of the alien movie genre, tells us: “The film is currently in the middle of post-production, and it is looking quite formidable. I am particularly proud of the fact that it looks enormous in scale, and we were able to shoot it for such a low cost. I remember being 15 years old and watching Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds around 9 times in theatres. It was my favorite movie of all time until I was about 19 years old. I always dreamed of making a movie like that, and I knew that I couldn’t wait for Hollywood to call. That would never happen. So in a way, Fighting the Sky is a fulfilling promise to my 15-year-old self who dreamed of making a big invasion film. I’m ecstatic to share the fruits of our labor with the world.”
He is hoping to enter Fighting the Sky into the SXSW Film Festival next year. You can stay updated via Facebook.
