It’s Halloween on Saturday… the day that ghosts, ghouls, blood-sucking vampires, bats, and werewolves (and you?) have all been waiting for. But the horror doesn’t have to stop there.

After Halloween comes the traditional Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations, the most famous of which take place in Mexico over two days (November 1st and 2nd) and celebrate the passing of loved ones to the “other side.” Offerings are bought to place on an altar, including photos of the dead, candles, little gifts and incense to guide them on their journey, and sweet pan de muerto – “bread of the dead” – to nourish them.

So, how much do you actually know about this world of sugar skulls and spookiness? In case the answer is “not much,” the folks at Morphsuits have created the colorful guide you’ll find below. Click it to see the enlarged version.

Happy Day of the Dead to you all!
