Let’s face it… thanks to Uwe Boll and some very poor decisions on Atari’s part, the Alone in the Dark franchise is dead. Any future installments are likely to send fans into a state of depression.
Thankfully, the creator of the series, Frederick Raynal, realized the bullshit direction in which the series was headed and got out while he still could. He’s taking the indie route with his next title, 2Dark, which promises to help the player “rediscover the meaning of ‘horror’”. Count me in. If you want to rediscover it too, pre-order the game via its official site ahead of its release next year.
