New Still from Richard Kelly’s The Box

Things have been fairly quiet since the announcement that Warner Bros. had pushed back the release date for The Box, Richard Kelly’s upcoming adaptation of Richard Matheson’s 1970 short story “Button, Button”, but today we got a look at a new still from the film.

MTV showed off the exclusive image as part of its “Fall Preview Gallery”, and while it doesn’t tell us much that we didn’t already know, it’s good to see Warner putting some push behind The Box. We’re big fans of Kelly around the Dread Central offices, and we’re hoping MTV’s Larry Carroll is right in his assessment that The Box will finally establish him as more than a cult filmmaker, and with a powerful score by the Arcade Fire, this film could be something special.
