Well, that certainly didn’t take very long. Divinity: Original Sin 2, the latest in the series of dark fantasy RPGs from Belgian developer Larian Studios, took a grand total of 12 hours to reach its $500,000 goal on Kickstarter. At the time of writing, the amount is currently at $752,964, so when the campaign finishes in 33 days expect it to be light years above.

The first game in the series, Divine Divinity, was released in 2002 and since then series has become popular among RPG fans. The first Original Sin was also crowdfunded and was released to critical acclaim, including being the recipient of Gamespot’s 2014 PC Game of the Year Award, so it hardly seems surprising that people want Original Sin 2 so badly.
