Twist master M. Night Shyamalan returns to the horror genre with next month’s The Visit, produced by Jason Blum’s hugely successful Blumhouse Productions. Now we’re getting word that filmmaker and producer are set to reunite on another project, so read on for all the details.

Deadline reports that Blum is producing Shyamalan’s next feature project, which will start shooting this coming November in the director’s hometown of Philadelphia. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, they also report that Joaquin Phoenix is in negotiations to star in the film.

Phoenix of course starred in Shyamalan’s Signs, back in 2002, as well as The Village two years later. The plot of this one is being kept closely guarded at the moment, though we can assume that it will be a relatively low-budget thriller – much like The Visit, made for just $5 million.

Marc Bienstock also produces, while Ashwin Rajan and Steven Schneider are on board as exec producers.
