Next Up on the Remake Carousel: Teen Wolf
It appears that Warner Bros. is actively looking for a writer to tackle a new approach toward the much beloved classic Teen Wolf. No surprise, really, but it still hurts a little.
Moviehole broke the news, and while Warner is “not quite certain which way they’re going to go,” a lot of people seem to think that Zac Efron will be the first person tapped for the role Michael J. Fox made so famous. But with no script and no director, it’ll no doubt be a while before casting comes into play, and who knows who will be the hot thing by then?
Plus, as Moviehole reminds us, UPN briefly flirted with a live-action “Teen Wolf” TV series in 2003, hiring Terry Hughes and Ron Milbauer to write the pilot for a potential series about a college kid (as opposed to a high school kid) who discovers he’s got hairy palms. Didn’t get to pilot.
We’ll bring you more on the Teen Wolf redux as it comes.
