Dead Rising: Watchtower Shambles Onto DVD and Digital HD

If you opted not to watch Dead Rising: Watchtower for free on Crackle earlier this year, then you can spend your hard-earned cash on a copy of the flick on DVD or Digital HD this October. I’m not saying that you should probably watch the movie for free before buying it, but it never hurts to know what you’re throwing your money at. A little friendly advice from me to you.
For those who aren’t aware, Dead Rising: Watchtower is based on the hit video game Dead Rising 3, which tells the story of one man’s attempt to escape from a zombie-infested city. As Nick Ramos, players must survive an onslaught of flesh-eating ghouls by crafting an array of weaponry and vehicles from whatever happens to be lying around at the time.
Watchtower doesn’t follow Ramos’ story, instead focusing on Chase Carter (Jesse Metcalfe) and his mission to escape a quarantined area with his skin intact. Fans of the video will get a chance to see funnyman Rob Riggle portray Dead Rising hero Frank West in the movie.
In addition to the movie, the Dead Rising: Watchtower DVD comes with a collection of special features, including making-of featurettes, a Rob Riggle Blooper Reel, and filmmaker commentary. You can pick up your very own copy of the Crackle original on October 6.
