Made Me Do It Introduces New Breed of Slasher

Writer/director Benjamin Koppin makes his feature debut with the experimental horror film Made Me Do It, which looks to provide something a little different. As Koppin explains in the featurette we’ve just gotten our hands on, the film’s slasher villain is quite unlike the rest. Dig in!
No stranger to filmmaking, Koppin was a camera operator/video editor for the now defunct FEARnet, and he’s also directed a handful of short films over the years. With Made Me Do It, he puts those skills to the ultimate test in what he’s describing as his most ambitious venture to date.
In the film, college student Ali Hooper (Anna B. Shaffer) and her little brother, Nick (Jason Gregory London), are attacked by a masked maniac, and the key to their surviving the night lies in unlocking a secret from the killer’s past.

Synopsis:
Made Me Do It takes a visceral journey into insanity. Enter the fragmented mind of serial killer Thomas Berkson. After a lifetime of abuse and rejection, Thomas has finally found someone who loves him unconditionally, the evil mask, Barbara. Following her maternal influence, Thomas blindly obeys Barbara’s every command as she takes retribution on all those who’ve hurt her precious boy. Distorting Thomas’ mind, she uses him as a vessel for her bidding. Barbara’s rage descends on the unsuspecting Ali Hooper; her teenage brother, Nick; and her ex-boyfriend, Jason. In a throwback to the classic 80’s slasher genre, the night twists and turns into a race for survival through an acid trip exploration of Thomas’ splintered memory. Coming face to face with the unstoppable force of Barbara, the question is asked: Who or what is the source of Thomas’ power?
