Director Ben Steiner’s phenomenal short film The Stomach (review) is now available to watch on iTunes — and alongside a brand new trailer, we also have word that a feature length version of this twisted tale is currently in the works!

With a laudable track record of over 100 official selection appearances at the festivals worldwide (and counting) and 21 international awards including Best Horror Short (Fantastic Fest), Short Film Melies d’Argent (Abertoir) and Best Short (Celluloid Screams), The Stomach continues to rack up accolades.

Now, Steiner has revealed that he and Dan Dixon — the pair behind Fume Films — are developing a feature-length version of The Stomach, taking the premise and characters of the short and using them as a jumping off point for a much deeper and more violent exploration of the weird world that it portrays.

For now, check out the brand new trailer right here, and head on over and watch The Stomach on iTunes if you haven’t already seen it. It’s a stunner.

Synopsis:
Frank’s had enough. A spirit medium whose unique and grotesque method of channeling the dead is putting his own life at risk, he wants out. But others, in this world and the next, have plans of their own. Part ghost story, part body horror, part crime thriller, The Stomach is a unique tale of supernatural noir.
