Ghostbusters Reboot Cast Visits Boston Children’s Hospital
Say what you will about the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, but at least the stars of the flick are using the franchise to spread some joy. According to The Huffington Post, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones — otherwise known as the new Ghostbusters — recently paid a visit to Tufts Medical Center to visit patients while dressed up as their characters.
“Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center patients got a huge surprise today when Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones came to visit! Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients’ faces! #WhoYouGonnaCall #Ghostbusters,” the Boston hospital wrote on Facebook.
Sadly, a lot of people can’t see past their undying hatred of the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot to appreciate the cast’s good deed. Refinery29 points out that Tufts Medical Center has worked diligently to remove a plethora of negative comments from their Facebook page.
“Please remember our Facebook policy is that any comments with profanity will be deleted. Thank you,” the hospital explained after receiving several hateful posts.
