Taking a page out of “The Walking Dead’s” playbook, Extinction is a zombie film that places a large emphasis on characters, and it’s one that is well worth checking out. Today the film arrives in limited theaters and on VOD platforms, so read on for all the details!

Jeffrey Donovan (“Burn Notice”) and Matthew Fox (“Lost”) star in the post-apocalyptic horror movie Extinction, which serves as the English-language debut of Spanish director Miguel Ángel Vivas (Kidnapped). Ahna O’Reilly (The Help), Quinn McColgan (Non-Stop), and Clara Lago (I Want You) co-star.

Synopsis:
Nine years after an infection turns most of humanity into rabid creatures, Patrick, Jack, and Lu, a nine-year-old girl, survive in seeming peace and calm in the forgotten snow-covered town of Harmony. We nonetheless sense that something terrible happened between Patrick and Jack because a deep hate keeps them apart. When the creatures appear again, Patrick and Jack will have to leave behind all rancor to protect the one being who means more to them than anything else.
