Earlier this month during the San Diego Comic-Con, several new images from HBO’s upcoming “Westworld” arrived, and now we have some casting updates to share.

Per HBO:
Don’t fret because Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, and Thandie Newton are all still in the highly anticipated “Westworld” series. Miranda Otto and Eion Bailey, on the other hand, are out. Here are the details.

Miranda Otto has been replaced by Sidse Babett Knudsen (pictured below; “Borgen,” “Proof”), playing the role of Westworld’s head of operations named Theresa Cullen. Replacing Bailey is Ben Barnes (also pictured below; The Chronicles of Narnia, Seventh Son, Dorian Gray), who will take up the role of Logan. That character is a frequent visitor to the Westworld experience and knows how to get his money’s worth out of the entertainment. Tagging along with him is first-time guest William, played by newly signed actor Jimmi Simpson.

Also cast recently is Clifton Collins, Jr., in the role of Lawrence, billed as a sly criminal who knows his way around.

When you add them into the mix, the primary cast breakdown looks like this:

  • Anthony Hopkins is Dr. Robert Ford, the brilliant creative director of Westworld.
  • James Marsden is Teddy Flood, a newly arrived gunslinger in pursuit of a local beauty.
  • Evan Rachel Wood is Dolores Abernathy, a Western girl who discovers her entire life is an elaborately constructed lie.
  • Jeffrey Wright is Bernard Lowe, head of the Westworld Programming Division and creator of artificial people.
  • Thandie Newton is Maeve Millay, the beautiful and sharp madame of Westworld.
  • Sidse Babett Knudsen is Theresa Cullen, Westworld’s terse operations leader, responsible for keeping the park from sliding into unscripted chaos.
  • Rodrigo Santoro is Harlan Bell, a wanted man bent on survival.
  • Ed Harris is the Man in Black, a mysterious villain.
  • Shannon Woodward is Elsie King, a rising star in the Programming Division tasked with odd behavior in the park’s artificial beings.
  • Ingrid Bolsø Berdal is Armistice, a brutal and ruthless bandit.
  • Angela Sarafyan is Clementine Pennyfeather, an artificial being and one of Westworld’s most popular attractions.
  • Simon Quarterman is Lee Sizemore, Westworld’s narrative director, whose artistic temperament aggravates his co-workers.
  • Ben Barnes is Logan, a louche bachelor and veteran Westworld guest. His hedonistic romp through Westworld is equally motivated by self-indulgence and a desire to help his friend, William.
  • Jimmi Simpson is William, a reluctant first-time visitor to Westworld, joining his friend Logan. Initially dismissive of the park’s more lascivious attractions, he slowly uncovers a deeper meaning to the park’s narrative.
  • Clifton Collins, Jr., is Lawrence, a charming but lethal outlaw with a knack for maneuvering and negotiating the various criminal elements of Westworld.

Also in the cast are Lena Georgas as Lori, Currie Graham as Craig, Ptolemy Slocum as Sylvester, and Louis Herthum as Peter Abernathy. Kyle Bornheimer, Demetrius Grosse, Steven Ogg, and Timothy Lee DePriest have also been cast in unspecified roles.

Now, with the cast complete, we’ll announce a premiere date soon.
