The Lone Gunmen Returning for The X-Files Revival

They may have died during the original run of “The X-Files” in Episode 9.15, “Jump the Shark,” but that’s not stopping The Lone Gunmen (aka Richard “Ringo” Langly, Melvin Frohike, and John Fitzgerald Byers) from returning for Fox’s revival of the series.

As you may recall, the trio were portrayed by Dean Haglund (Langly), Tom Braidwood (Frohike), and Bruce Harwood (Byers); and Haglund himself confirmed the news via Twitter:

The trio join recently announced guest stars Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose along with Kumail Nanjiani, Rhys Darby, Joel McHale, and Annet Mahendru.

“The X-Files” debuts on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at 10:00PM immediately after the network’s broadcast of the NFL championship game and begins a five-week run Mondays at 8:00PM.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back as Mulder and Scully, as are Mitch Pileggi as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner and William B. Davis as the iconic Cigarette-Smoking Man.

Veteran writers James Wong and Glen Morgan also return with Morgan joining creator Chris Carter as an executive producer. Shooting continues at North Shore Studios in N. Vancouver through August 14th.
