Lords of Salem Sequel a Future Possibility?

Rob Zombie is currently hard at work finishing up Halloween horror film 31, and then he’s set to make a Groucho Marx biopic, so he’s pretty much booked solid at the moment. But that didn’t stop him from teasing a potential future project over the weekend, which caught our interest.
Per Rob Zombie’s Facebook page, the director was asked by a fan if we’d ever see a Lords of Salem sequel, and when another fan shot down that possibility by stating that the 2012 film wasn’t enough of a success, Zombie himself replied and stated otherwise.
“Lords was the most successful film I’ve had on DVD, so another one could be done for sure,” noted Zombie.
The Lords of Salem told the tale of Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), a radio station DJ living in Salem, Massachusetts, who receives a strange wooden box containing a record: a “gift from the Lords.” Heidi listens, and the bizarre sounds immediately trigger flashbacks of the town’s violent past. Is she going mad, or are the “Lords of Salem” returning for revenge on modern-day Salem?
