Paul Feig Rolls Out the New Ghostbusters Ecto-1

Like it or not, the all-female remake/reboot of Ghostbusters is happening. If you have any doubt that the project is moving forward, pay close attention to director Paul Feig’s Twitter page. The filmmaker is tweeting out all sorts of Ghostbusters-related imagery, including the new jumpsuits and a breakdown of the proton pack. So far, I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen.

Now Feig has unveiled the new version of the Ecto-1. The director appears to have outfitted a Cadillac station wagon to help the ladies bust an assortment of ghosts, which seems like a loving nod to the original Ecto-1. Will this image silence the haters? Eh, probably not.

The upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones, haunts theaters on July 22, 2016. Check out the new Ecto-1 below.
