RLJ Entertainment, under its Image Entertainment brand, has just announced that it has acquired U.S. rights to the indie werewolf flick Uncaged from first-time feature director Daniel Robbins.

Written by Robbins, Looch Gelfand, and Mark Rapaport, the film stars Kyle Kirkpatrick, Ben Getz, Garrett Hendricks, and Michelle Cameron, featuring Gene Jones (The Sacrament).  Mark Ward, RLJ Entertainment’s Chief Acquisitions Officer, made the announcement today.

“We’re excited to work with a young filmmaker whose vision effectively translates to the big screen,” said Ward.  “Uncaged takes audiences through uncanny twists and turns, leaving moviegoers thrilled and frightened at the same time.”

Uncaged tells that story a young college student who attempts to discover the cause of his sleepwalking, only to uncover a terrifying secret. It was produced by Yoni Frager, Mark Rapaport, Daniel Robbins, and Adam Werth.  BoulderLight Pictures’ J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules served as executive producers. Lifshitz and Margules also negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers with Mark Ward for RLJ Entertainment.
