Now, as for that other popular real-life “scream queen” joining the fold, it’s “Buffy/Angel” star Charisma Carpenter, who’s playing Ariana Grande’s mother. Per Deadline, the guest starring role could turn into a recurring one… if she stays alive long enough, I suppose.

Skyler Samuels stars as Grace, a new student at Wallace University who hopes to join Kappa Sorority, led by Emma Roberts’ Chanel Oberlin. Keke Palmer plays Grace’s genius best friend. Their co-stars include Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Oliver Hudson, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Diego Boneta, Lucien Laviscount, and Glen Powell. Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas are among the guest stars.

The comedy-horror anthology series hails from 20th Century Fox TV and Ryan Murphy Television. Murphy exec produces with “Glee’s” Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, and Dante Di Loreto.

Synopsis:
The new anthology series “Scream Queens” revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders and is set in a sorority house.
