Let the Right One In Remake Clarification
Well, this might end up being a bit embarrassing for Production Weekly. Last week, they reported that the US remake for Let the Right One In was getting a title overhaul and being called Let Me In and that shooting was set to start in Canada this May. I guess they may have spoken too soon.
Turns out, it was reported today over Bloody Disgusting that Overture Films clarified what the official news is with the status of their remake with Hammer Films. Overture said that the name has not been changed and that no shooting schedule has been determined yet, and they wouldn’t expect it to start in May since it doesn’t make much sense to film a story set in the winter during the late spring/summer season.
The one thing that remains factual so far is that Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) will be helming the movie.
Once official news becomes available on the US version of Let the Right One In, we’ll make sure to keep you posted.
