Impossible Horror Launches Indiegogo Campaign

It’s hard not to get excited about an upcoming horror project that openly compares itself to the likes of Evil Dead 2, Phantasm, and Ringu. I know a lot of people do it, but sometimes you get a group of filmmakers who genuinely seem to mean it, as opposed to simply dropping names in hopes of spurring interest in their endeavors. Or maybe I’m just a mark and a cheap date.

The aforementioned comparisons are what initially grew me to Impossible Horror, an upcoming Candian genre flick from the twisted mind of writer/director Justin Decloux (We’re in a Fight, Teddy Bomb). These folks seem pretty passionate about filmmaking, and it clearly shows on the Indiegogo page for their latest production. And instead of asking for an outrageous sum of money, Decloux and company only want $7,000 to bring Impossible Horror to fruition. Frugal!

What’s Impossible Horror about? The answer lies below.

Every night a scream rings out in the same neighborhood. Two insomniac strangers, Lily the filmmaker and Hannah the game designer, head out together into the darkness to find the cause. Is it a psychotic killer claiming a new victim? A murderous ghost out for revenge? A flesh eating monster? All of the above with extra chainsaws? Before they know it, Lily and Hannah have gone from being scream HUNTERS to scream PREY, and an evil force wants them dead. If they can both survive the night, they may just find the answers they’re looking for, but the price will have to be paid in sanity and blood.

Here’s the cool part: Should you decide to hand over a cool $150 to support Impossible Horror during its journey to fruition, your scream will appear in the finished film. This could be your big break!
