Lost Creepshow 2 Story Pinfall Resurrected as Fan Film on Indiegogo

As fans of Creepshow 2 know, George A. Romero’s original screenplay featured five segments. However, due to issues with the film’s budget, both “Cat from Hell” and “Pinfall” were officially kicked to the curb. And while “Cat” would eventually find its way into Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, “Pinfall” was never produced. However, that could change in the near future.

Ian Vaughan Jones and Witch Tree Films, a group of filmmakers and life-long Creepshow fans, are putting together a fan-crafted version of the segment, a 30-minute short film they’re hoping to fund through Indiegogo. Although it’s not an official version of the story from Romero’s screenplay, it’s probably the closest thing we’ll ever get. And judging by the trailer, these guys know what they’re doing. There’s clearly a lot of love and very hard work going into this production.

Unfamiliar with the Creepshow 2 “Pinfall” segment? Have a look at this synopsis.

Two bowling teams compete for the championship trophy. After a night of murderous foul play, the rival team rise from the dead to seek revenge on the ones that murdered them.
