McDowell Talks Halloween 2 & Updated Teaser Poster

It seems that every single day there are new developments coming out concerning Rob Zombie’s “>Halloween 2, and today is no different. The latest dirt involves whether or not Malcolm McDowell will return as Loomis and a look at the new teaser poster.
Quint from AICN was in attendance at a SAG event last night, and the new Loomis had this to say about his possible involvement in the new film — “Michael! Jesus Christ! I don’t know what I’m doing in the sequel, but it can’t be good!”. Sorry, couldn’t resist. Anyway, here’s what the legendary actor had to say regarding H2:
When the host of the event told McDowell he thought he did an amazing job of stepping into the role of Loomis and that he couldn’t picture anyone else taking up the role besides him after the performance he gave in the first film, McDowell thanked him and told him “maybe you ought to tell that to the Weinsteins! We’re in the middle of negotiating right now!” He then riffed on the notorious hard bargaining of the Weinstein Brothers.
McDowell went on to tell the audience he had not even received a script yet, so plot details remain unknown. Guess we’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime dig on the latest teaser poster for the film, which is now sporting a slightly different color scheme and a release date of August 28th, 2009 emblazoned upon it. Keep it here for more on the sequel as we get it.
