Grace Nabs Jury Prize at Gerardmer Fest
We got some excellent news this morning from Adam Green, one of the producers of Grace, a film we’ve been following closely.
Here’s the scoop direct from Adam himself: “This past weekend Grace took home the Jury Prize in France’s prestigious Gerardmer International Fantasy Film Festival. While in the past the festival has been known to give out two Jury Prizes, during the ceremony they said that Grace was so strong that they could only see giving out one this year. Other films in competition included Let the Right One In [which won the Fest’s Grand Prize], Midnight Meat Train, and The Burrowers.” Congrats to everyone involved!
Writer/director Paul Solet was on hand to accept the prize and is now off to Glasgow, Scotland, for UK FrightFest’s winter event, which runs February 20 and 21, 2009.
If you live in or near Glasgow, you’re in luck. Along with Grace they’ll be showing Deadgirl (review here), Outlander (review here), Walled In, Dorothy, I Sell the Dead, The Unborn (review here), and One Eyed Monster. Now that’s what I call a lineup to make any horror fan drool!
