Katee Sackhoff Headlines Supernatural Thriller Don’t Knock Twice

Though she’s perhaps best known for her role on “Battlestar Galactica,” Kate Sackhoff also has a handful of horror titles on her resume, including recent films Oculus and Riddick. And it doesn’t appear as if she’s leaving the genre behind anytime soon!
Sackhoff will headline Don’t Knock Twice, a supernatural thriller to be directed by Caradog James. It’s currently being sold at Cannes by Content Media, and below are the details.

In the vein of Candyman meets The Ring, Don’t Knock Twice is based on a psychologically terrifying urban legend. To save her estranged daughter, a guilt-ridden mother must uncover the terrifying truth behind the urban legend of a vengeful, demonic witch.
Caradog James (The Machine, Little White Lies) is directing Don’t Knock Twice from a script by Emmy nominated writing duo Mark Huckerby (Howl) and Nick Ostler (Howl). The film is being produced by Red & Black Films’ John Giwa-Amu (The Machine, The Call Up) and Seymour Films’ Claire Moorsom. Content’s President of Film, Jamie Carmichael, serves as executive producer.
Principal photography will commence in July in the UK.
The film marks a re-teaming between Content Media and Caradog James and his award-winning, UK based Red & Black Films production banner. They first partnered together on the cult sci-fi action thriller The Machine.
Distributors worldwide will be introduced the project in Cannes by Jamie Carmichael and Content’s Head of Sales, Harry White. Carmichael said: “Caradog has proven himself to be a very dynamic and innovative director, and clearly Katee brings a ton of experience and credibility to this genre too – they’re going to make a fantastic team.”
“After the worldwide success of The Machine, we’re excited to be traveling this journey with Content again and thrilled to have landed Katee for our leading lady,” said Giwa-Amu and James.
Don’t Knock Twice is financed by Altara, Ffilm Cymru Wales, and Content Media.
