Sennia Nanua Is She Who Brings Gifts

Some quick casting news is coming in for the latest “zombie infection” film heading our way, She Who Brings Gifts. Screen Daily is reporting that 12-year-old newcomer Sennia Nanua has been cast as the film’s lead.
Also joining Nanua are new cast members Anamaria Marinca (Fury; 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days), Fisayo Akinade (Ordinary Lies), Anthony Welsh (Starred Up), and Dominique Tipper (DMX) alongside the previously announced Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine, and Glenn Close.
The flick is due to start shooting on May 17th in the West Midlands.
She Who Brings Gifts is a thriller about a seemingly normal and very intelligent little girl who lives in an underground army bunker with other children her age. The catch? They’re all experimental cases being examined by scientists to find a cure for a fungal spore that has infected the planet.
The script was adapted by MR Carey from his own dystopian novel The Girl with All the Gifts.
Colm McCarthy (“Peaky Blinders,” “Sherlock,” “Ripper Street”) will make his feature directing debut on the project.
